Short version: we don't track you, and we collect almost nothing.
This website sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no advertising pixels, no session recording, and no chat widget. There is no login, no account, and no form on this site that sends us your information. If that is all you wanted to know, you can stop reading here.

Purchases are handled entirely by PayPal. When you click “Add to Cart,” you leave our site and complete your order on PayPal's. We never see or receive your card number. After an order is placed, PayPal gives us your name, shipping address, email address, and what you ordered, so that we can send you a Trouble and answer questions about it.
What PayPal does with your information is governed by PayPal's own privacy statement, not ours. You can read it at paypal.com/us/legalhub/privacy-full.
We keep order records for a minimum of seven years, because tax and warranty rules require it, and in practice we keep them longer. We also keep paper copies of orders. We would rather tell you that plainly than promise a deletion we don't perform. What PayPal keeps, and for how long, is governed by PayPal's own retention policy rather than ours.
If you write to us, we have whatever you put in your message, and it stays in our mailbox so that we can pick up a conversation where it left off. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell, rent, trade, or share your information with anyone for marketing.
Our page fonts are served from our own web server. Some pages embed video from YouTube or link to Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, X, and The Kennek Foundation. Following one of those links takes you to a company that has its own rules and its own tracking, over which we have no control.
Trouble is made for children, but this website is written for the adults who buy for them. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone under 13, and there is nowhere on this site for a child to enter any.
You can ask us what information we hold about you, and you can ask us to correct it. Email info@troublethedog.com and we will answer within 45 days.
You can also ask us to delete your correspondence with us, and we will. We cannot delete the record of a completed order, for the reason above. If you ask, we will tell you exactly what we still hold and why. If you are unhappy with our answer, say so in a reply and we will look at it again.
Order information lives in our PayPal account and our email, reachable only by the people who pack and ship your order. Our PayPal account requires two-step verification to sign in. Our email accounts use long, unique passwords that are not used anywhere else. This site is served over HTTPS.
If information about you were ever exposed, we would notify you and the Massachusetts Attorney General as M.G.L. c. 93H requires.
If we change how any of this works, we will change this page and update the date below.
